The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a hilarious new musical featuring music and lyrics by David Nehls and book and direction by Betsy Kelso. The cast includes Marya Grandy, Linda Hart, Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley, Kaitlin Hopkins, Leslie Kritzer, Orfeh and Wayne Wilcox.

There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres--and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, "the stripper on the run," comes between the Dr. Phil-loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, the storms begin to brew -- and this storm ain't any old Florida hurricane.

Trailer Park ran off-Broadway at the Dodger Stages in New York City and has toured and played regionally across the U.S.

Music and Lyrics by David Nehls
Book and Direction by Betsy Kelso

Featuring Marya Grandy, Linda Hart, Shuler Hensley, Kaitlin Hopkins, Leslie Kritzer, Orfeh and Wayne Wilcox.
"'South Park' meets 'Desperate Housewives'!" -The New York Sun

"Adultery, strippers, murderous ex-boyfriends, Costco and the Ice Capades. Undeniable fun!" -The New York Post

"A show that actually lives up to the hype of its title!" -The Village Voice

"How many elastic-lunged, Broadway-caliber divas stuffed into hot pants and heels can you fit into a double-wide trailer, and still have room for the big-screen TV set? The answer's about five, according to this BRIGHT NEW SHOW WITH ITS ALTOGETHER TERRIFIC CAST. The vibrant Linda Hart sparkles. Orfeh and Kaitlin Hopkins are first-rate singers given ample chances to display their gifts. Flat-out hilarious newcomer Leslie Kritzer is a consistent source of off-kilter brilliance. And it's good to hear Shuler Hensley's rich voice again. The show is handsomely produced--Markas Henry's camps costumes, Derek McLane's boldly colored set and Donald Holder's flavorful lighting are all top-notch. David Nehl's music, a blend of pop idioms ranging from country balladry to R & B to rockabilly, is appealing and raises a hearty chuckle." -Charles Isherwood, NY Times

"A DELICIOUS NEW MUSICAL. The joint is jammed and jumping with raucous laughter. It's like 'The Honeymooners' meets 'The Best Little Whorehouse' in 'Urinetown.'" -Liz Smith, Syndicated Columnist/NY Post

"The Trailer Park meets 'South Park' in this big-hearted new musical comedy with a cheeky script by Betsy Kelso, an infectious score by David Nehls and a richly talented cast. Trailer Park sparkles with treasure!" -Liesl Schillinger, The New York Sun

"Joyful and unashamedly vulgar, Betsy Kelso's comic fable about women in a Florida trailer park and their no-account men is more fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer set to music. When a stripper named Pippi (the incandescent Orfeh) moves into Armadillo Acres, on the run from a permanent-marker-sniffing loon named Duke, she gets sympathy from the park's ruling clique, Betty (Linda Hart, a bleached-blond Eartha Kitt with mighty lungs), Linoleum (Marya Grandy), and Pickles (the very funny Leslie Kritzer)--until she steals somebody's husband. The rousing songs, by David Nehls, include the ballad "I Gotta Make Like a Nail (and Press On)," which has the wattage of the disco hit "I Will Survive." And the ingenious set, by Derek McLane ("I Am My Own Wife"), belongs in an art gallery." -The New Yorker

"Trailer Park has talented performers with terrific voices, funny jokes, and a priceless comic characterization. Sergio Trujillo's droll choreography is amusing and refreshing." -David Rooney, Variety

"Entertaining and tuneful, Trailer Park shines like aluminum siding. The performers can sing, act and joke around with the best of them, and cocky as you please, they sell David Nehls' music as if hawking rhinestones on the Home Shopping Network" -David Finkle, TheaterMania.com

"This wheel-spinning, mud-splattering good time of a show is the theatrical equivalent of a bag of Doritos. You can't get enough. Who could expect a thrillingly trashy Greek chorus of trailer park matrons whose hysterical musical stylings all but redefine the girl-group-as-cultural-commentator craze? Or a number with enough show-stopping electricity to trump every musical that opened on Broadway last season? Joys like these are rare enough in today's biggest hits. So are luminescent female star comics, and Trailer Park has a doozy in Kritzer." -Matthew Murray, Talkin' Broadway

"A sparkling, sharp irreverence lights up this musical and makes it one of the most laugh-out-loud shows in town." -Kevin Manganaro, Broadway.com

"The cast brings great energy and zest to their work." -Howard Kissel, Daily News

"This raunchy show does have a bouncy, appealing score, delivered by a powerhouse cast that gets every ounce of twang and corn pone out of David Nehls' down-home music and surprisingly witty lyrics." -Mike Kuchwara, AP

"There's undeniable fun to be had in the fast-paced proceedings, which are performed with just the right mixture of energy and silliness by the highly talented, strong-voiced cast, who clearly relish their down-home characters." -Frank Scheck, NY Post

"THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL offers plenty of finger-lickin' fun. The entire cast is excellent and everybody appears to be having a lot of fun chewing on their white-cracker stereotypes. An undeniably entertaining hullabaloo for folks hankering for a rowdy good time." -Michael Sommers, The Star-Ledger
