 You are invited to attend the solo singing debut of Ms. de'Adre aziza. Ms. aziza, an accomplished Broadway actress who starred in the critically acclaimed musical Passing Strange, is also very well received in industry circles as a premiere songstress, having shared the stage with such notable talents as Roy Ayers, Jessye Norman, and Jennifer Holliday. Fresh off the heels of a stunning NYC acting debut, which included Tony & Audelco Award nominations, an Obie Award, Theater World Award, and two Spike Lee films, Ms. aziza is back on the scene reuniting with her first love, music. With a collection of original compositions with a jazz infused twist, Ms. aziza sets out to captivate you with her vocal stylings and originality, performing a collection of original songs written by herself, songwriters Stew, Nick Rolfe & Louis Ressy, and musical theatre composers Michael Friedman and Nick Blaemire. Her fresh perspective and innovative collaging of these time tested musical styles is sure to delight.
